most wonderful time of the year

i am not talking about Christmas here. for shopaholics the most wonderful time of the year is blackfriday. this is one time you could score super great deals. a lot of people prepare for this day and are even willing to line up at stores at as early as 5am just to be able to buy the really good items. it could get really tiring though especially since it's the day after thanksgiving. but being tired and having no sleep won't stop a true blue shopaholic from trooping to the mall.

i am planning my blackfriday way too early, i know that. but planning early won't hurt. i have subscribed to -www.black-friday.net- already so i can get circulars of blackfriday ads earlier than everybody else. this will give me time to decide on what i need to buy and make sure i can get real great discount. what's super great is i can buy the items online and yet get the same discount. no lining up and waiting. i can do the shopping from the comforts of my own home. i plan one buying christmas gifts for family online this year so this is a really good opportunity for christmas shopping. i only have five months left to save before that most wonderful time of the year aside from Christmas.

things to be happy about

~finally finished with work. all appointments are now set for this afternoon. now i could blog, blog hop, and rest. weebee.

~it's june already in a few days.

~i am not missing coke as i have thought i would.

~im taking baby steps now to start my nursing career (my mom jumping for joy!). nothing life changing just yet. at least i'm starting to look at trainings i could take and have actually planned a few already. it's about time i do this.

~God is good and life is great!

i have to screen 392 applications for HR Manager and review the 25 Pre-Screened (by me) Sales Account Manager applications. I HAVE to schedule an interview TODAY of the shortlisted applicants, atleast 3 for each vacancy. interview is to be at 3PM.

friday night out

went out last night for coffee and then dinner with A. we were suppose to go out as a group but the other's couldn't make it for some reason and A didn't want to driver far so we just went somewhere near. we had a good time talking and just spending time together. even if it was just the two of us, it was fun. we talked about things to come, what to do in the coming months and years, the patio furnitures her mom bought, her newly renovated bedroom , and a lot more other things. what a great way to start the weekend!

season finale's

just finished watching season finale of gossip girl and i was disappointed. i expected something more and something that would make me excited to watch next season. but it didn't. im excited to watch grey's season finale. my sister (in the US) told me that it was really nice. i spent the entire evening downloading it. i have my chips ready but i will have to watch it after i finish my assignments and checking the life insurance quote my insurance agent sent me. my mom has been bugging me to upgrade my life insurance but i have been thinking of doing so or just getting another one. i will have to go through the quotation first and hopefully it's within my budget. be back later with grey's story.

i don't think i'll be able to concentrate on doing anything work related this morning as i will be watching american idol finale. like what i said on my earlier post, i want archie to win BUT a prediction from dialidol declares cooky as the winner. im super excited already! show starts in 30 minutes.

i was going through video's on youtube and i found a raw video of howie mandell's ad for buy.com. it it was funny and really cool. how i wish i was that person he interviewed and i would have received a free xbox360. it was a nice way of marketing a website and it is very effective too. the only downside is it was a NO KEYWORD COMMENT ON YOUTUBE VIDEO. oh, but i had fun watching it.

Summer is Back

i knew that the summer heat was to make a comeback. it was good while it lasted though. i thought it was to last for a few more days but i guess i will have to just endure the heat of the season for a few more weeks. i really have to tell my dad to call the aircon technician to work on the air conditioning compressor of the aircon i use in my work area. it needs to be replaced and my dad was suppose to have it done last thursday but since the weather was really nice i told him he could have it done by monday (which is tomorrow). hopefully, it won't be too hot tomorrow as it the aircon repair might actually take the whole day.

watches

i am a self confessed watch person. i can't leave the house not wearing one. if in case i do i will still end up checking the time and would yeah, look so stupid. i don't own any of those super expensive watches and i don't think i'll ever invest in one even if i had the money to do so. if a kind heart would give me an ebel watch, of course i would gladly accept. who am i to refuse such a gift? i think a to give a watch as a gift is really reasonable. who would not want to use a watch? time is important and you don't want to always run late and that makes a watch important too. i was browsing through the website but just looking though. i saw a lot of quality watch pieces that i would surely wear. the website in the time piece guide gives one a wide selection of watch pieces and carefully describes each piece. that's why i like buying things online. you get to research about the item. especially with having to buy not so cheap items, that is really important as you want to make sure you buying something you really like. you don't want to end up regretting a purchase you made.

love the weather

i love it that it has been raining the whole day. i love it that i didn't have to turn the a/c this afternoon. i love the cool breeze of air outside. i do hope that summer has ended this early but that is wishful thinking. i know that the scorching heat of the sun is set to make a great comeback this week.

charice on oprah

charice is no doubt a good singer and if she is handled/managed by the right people could really make a name for herself in the states. thank God for you tube i was able to watch her guesting in oprah that was shown today (may 12 in the US). she sang “i who have nothing” and she was really good. i just hope she had done better during the interview. im posting a video of her “blow away moment” performance without the interview.

belated happy mother's day greetings to all the mommy's!

saturday was spent at home doing nothing. teehee.

for mother's day, we went out for lunch. trinoma was packed and since we didn't have reservations we had to go there early. when we got there, we immediately checked on where we could eat. after about 20 mins of going around, my mom decide she just wanted to eat at abe's. when we went there we had to wait to be seated and the wait is for close to an hour. good thing good earth had seats available so we just had our mother's day lunch there. food was ok. after lunch we went to the grocery and dad bought CAT6 bulk cables before we headed home.

was a really quiet weekend as usual. now, back to work!

friday love

~i love friday's for the reason that later in the afternoon i could already download the new episode of grey's anatomy. teehee! what would life be without torrent?

~we watched basketball (pba) last week and my uncle is inviting us to watch again later. im not sure of who is playing so i'm still pretty much undecided if i will go or not.

~bought something i really wanted online to be shipped within the week. it's nothing expensive but super cute. once i get it i'ld take pictures of it and share it with everyone. happy!

no more soda...for now.

i woke up with a very bad stomach ache. since i am a registered nurse, my mind was flooded with different ideas of what was wrong. i don't like being a patient. the pain was super bad that the first thing i thought of is that i will not drink soda (coke zero/light) for one week. i drank water the whole day. not a lot but this is the most i have drank in months. after dinner, i asked my dad to drive me to the grocery so i could buy juice. i bought pineapple juice and C2. i don't think i can just drink water and i think drinking juice is not as bad as drinking soda. im feeling better now, im glad i am. this is going to be the long week. if i survive this week, maybe i could really do without soda.

not without prescriptions

to all those drinking diet pills especially Phentermine without prescription, i do suggest you take extra precaution or better yet consult your doctor. you don't want to be losing weight but end up sick or sickly. drinking diet pills helps a lot in weight loss but one must make sure that they consult a physician before doing so. better yet, just stick to exercise and diet.

blue lotus

my mom brought home a bottle of blue lotus oil. The oil has an extremely rich scent and is completely organic. It comes from a single pond on a small farm in Nepal. It is said to "produce a feeling of joy that permeates the whole body, emanating from every cell that is delightfully wonderful and lasts for some time". It was given by one of her good friends from work. She is thinking of going for a massage this weekend and is looking forward to have them use the oil. She was asking me if i wanted to go, but no. im not used to getting a massage. i wonder if it will work. i will test it, when my mom gets home from the massage this weekend. maybe i can ask her to buy me new shoes, if she says yes it means she is in a good mood. meaning that oil surely works!

charice on oprah plus deal or no deal

i'm looking forward to watching charice's guesting on oprah. i heard it would show next week. i watched her interview on the buzz last sunday and she said oprah was close to crying after hearing her sing. she is a talented girl but sometimes i wish she sings other song's other than i will always love you. im so sick of hearing her sing that song and the other one from the movie dreamgirls.

another thing i'm looking forward too is the deal or no deal world tour:Philippines which howie mandell hosted with kris aquino. it was shown last night in the US but i'm not sure when they will show it here in the philippines. maybe i can download from torrent. yeah, maybe i should.

just one more

sorry for having to flood my blog with posts tonight. i have to finish a few things for work tomorrow and i want my online tasks to be done tonight. it's not everyday i get tasks (i wonder where the tasks have gone), so i want to make sure i don't put them to waste. i need tasks and it's great that i still get to grab a few every now and then.

paintball

my cousins are into paintball. this is something that i have yet to try and we previously plan on doing this as a family bonding activity. my cousin, mayo is really good and in fact competes abroad. they play every weekend with other cousins and his wife and daughter also compete for the women's philippine team. they have been to malaysia, singapore and other asian countries.
He has been using a invert mini paintball gun. He had his bought in the states when his sister went there recently. He says it's the best paintball gun in the market. i never thought it was expensive but since it is something he uses to compete he says it is worth every centavo.

what to do?

I usually have my make up done by my Aunt but since it is her daughter who is to get married next month, I will have to look for a salon where I could have my make-up done for the wedding. Other than that, I don't know what to do with my hair. I want curls again (love curls!) but is also thinking of having my hair up for a change. my gown is patterned from a gown calista flockhart wore in the recent emmy awards. color of the gown though is in chocolate brown with orange accent.

so, do i have to put my hair up or just go with curls again?

bummer

why is it that when i plan on going on a diet i end up eating more. for lunch, i feasted on sizzling gambas, grilled chicken, and chocolate cake. i didn't eat much for dinner but i have been drinking a lot of coke zero. i think i can finish the 1.5L in a day. can't blame me. the heat is untolerable and and i end up drinking often. uhmm...i don't drink water so soda it is. teehee. bad!

baguio

It was only now that I realized that I have not really posted anything about our Holy Week trip to Baguio. The trip was super fun as my mom's sisters in Bacolod went to Manila for that Baguio trip.

We stayed at Elizabeth Hotel for this trip. A really nice hotel. We went to the usual tourist spots in Baguio as it was a first time in Baguio for one of my Aunt's. We also made sure to go back to Oh My Gulay, a restaurant we discovered last year. If you go to Baguio, I recommend you go to OMG for either lunch or dinner. It's along session road and the food is really good.

It was a 3 days, 2 nights trip but it was a great bonding time for the family. Short but sweet. More pictures are posted on my multiply account but can only be viewed by my contacts. Send me an invite and if i know you, i'll surely accept your invitation :)

on wedding preps

Not me! Im not getting married but as I have mentioned on my previous post, my cousin is and she is now super busy with the preparations. Other than being busy with preparing for her wedding she is also 5 months pregnant. With everything she has to do, she is lucky she was able to book a supplier for bulk flowers she'll need for the wedding. All the flowers to be used in decorating the church, the ballroom for the reception and the bouquets will be from this supplier. She was lucky to book the supplier as everything is to be taken cared off. She just met up with the supplier to discuss what she needs and wants. At least one item off her list.

super happy that my favorite tv show is back. it has been for the past two weeks, with other shows like gossip girl. after a few months of not using torrent, i am back to downloading my favorite tv series. mcdreamy is so cute. can't wait to watch his new movie made of honor.
